Our Comprehensive Approach to Health and Recovery
Global Wellness Solutions Inc. (formerly known as South American Health) is a holistic health practice focused on cutting-edge approaches to cognitive, brain, neurological and mental health … that work!
We offer a comprehensive approach to health recovery, maintenance and prevention through a coaching and counselling model that educates, empowers and supports.
Through personalized guidance which addresses all areas of life, we show our clients that they CAN learn to take care of themselves to promote long-term health, true wellbeing, and longevity.
Some of our clients come to us wondering why they aren’t succeeding in their attempts to achieve optimal health. Many have seen specialists, taken prescription medications, and much more. Yet, they obviously haven’t healed completely, as they are still not feeling well. In our work together, they learn through their own experience that wellness is achieved when the symptoms as well as the root of an issue are addressed. Our holistic approach allows us to understand all of the contributing factors that are causing the imbalance. Through this process, a big picture emerges, showing us the causes and solutions specific to each person.
In order to be effective, we call upon a wide range of training and experience to support those wanting to recover from (or prevent) cognitive decline. See our About Us page for details.
Here are some examples of what clients come to see us about:
- Cognitive health (prevention and recovery from Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke, concussion, MS, Parkinson’s, etc.)
- Emotional support (individual, couples and family therapy)
- Improvement from sleeping disorders
- Recovery from inflammation/autoimmunity-related illnesses
- Nutritional optimization
- Holistic guidance for diabetes recovery
- Health maintenance
- Prevention of illness
- Anti-aging strategies
- Other health and wellness concerns
In one way or another, all of these issues are quite directly related to brain and mental health (no matter what the main current concerns may be).
Specializing in Cognitive, Brain, Neurological and Mental Health
In addition to supporting clients on their overall health and wellbeing (both physical and non-physical), we specialize in recovery and prevention from a range of cognitive, brain and neurological issues.
When it comes to supporting the needs of middle-aged or older adults (i.e., most of our clients), nothing is more important than brain health, of course. We’ve had truly outstanding results by combining highly effective healing processes with affordable, cutting-edge technology that can be used at home.
Recent innovations in our field are transforming what is possible. We know it can sound too good to be true. However, we have seen the extraordinary results with our own eyes (and can cite the research that supports the real-life outcomes).
Our primary role is to help you understand what is possible and guide you through your recovery. Once again, the key is to address each of the contributing imbalances that are causing any complex illness.
With the right education, motivation, and dedication, remarkable health recoveries become normal and natural. We regularly support clients and teach them how to take care of themselves when suffering from issues such as:
Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
Neurological/Autoimmune related illnesses such a Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis
Insomnia and other sleep issues

Taking the Time to Figure Out What Exactly is Happening
For clients experiencing more challenging circumstances or wanting to go deeper, we recommend a thorough blood analysis at the beginning of our work together. This is especially important if there are a number of health issues or if much has been tried already without good results.
Comprehensive Blood Analysis Report: This is an inclusive report based on your initial consultation and other diagnostics, including blood work. We take as much time as necessary to understand what is happening to your health before we present you with our perspective.
This blood report, for example, educates you on your current state of health, how you got there, and what you can do to recover.
At the core of this information is an “optimal interpretation” or what some call a functional interpretation of a recent blood test/s. Normally, blood test results are based on reference ranges listed on the right side of your results (for comparison with your own numbers). Unfortunately, the reference range is only designed to see if you are in a definite disease state or not. However, if you are on a path toward a specific imbalance, reference ranges will not detect this — nor will they identify potential remedies to halt or reverse this direction.
By contrast, optimal interpretation of blood is prognostic and prevention-oriented. Pioneered by Scott Ferguson ND and Dicken Weatherby ND, this way of decoding blood testing results provides explicit details about each blood constituent that is out of range. We explain to the client what it all means, as well as recommending the most appropriate interventions to support recovery or avoid certain illness.
If you have a recent blood test, we may give you a recommendation for some additional testing. The report contextualizes your results in a framework of known pathology as well as prevention of disease. Then we offer the optimal protocols we have come to know through experience suited for your current state of health. If you are on prescription medications, the report will include a contraindication report. Believe it or not, many people are unknowingly taking a variety of prescription medications that interact negatively with each other.
Through this type of analysis and other initial consultations, we embark on a collaborative process that empowers and guides our clients to take control of their health and wellbeing.
